The Johannes Kepler University Linz has an extensive offer of diverse courses in 19 areas of study. Courses are mostly being held in German. International students should be sufficiently proficient in German in order to follow them without greater problems.
It is possible to attend a German course at JKU as a non-degree student before beginning degree studies. For more information on the courses in German as a Foreign Language you can search the general Course Catalogue.
The information regarding the course offering is no longer provided in printed form but is only available online. As a search criteria you can enter the course title, the course number, the name of the lecturer, the institute, the faculty, semester or the language of instruction.
Data inputs in the field "Semester" should follow the following pattern:
Year in which the semester starts + "w" (for the winter semester) or + "s" (for the summer semester).
e.g. "2007w" for the winter semester 2007/2008,
"2007s" for the summer semester 2007
